Such an awesome night was had, last night i had the pleasure of sharing the boat with the boys from N.C. It was pretty epic to say the least. Congrats to both Nick and Nick on their first Muskys ever. We ended the half day trip with 3 musky in the net and a mess of crappie in the livewell. Thanks for a fun night out guys.

Northern Pike Fired Up on Wisconsin Rivers This Summer Afternoon!

One for the books today! Tom and I headed out this summer afternoon for some river fishing action around Wisconsin waters. The late afternoon start gave us perfect timing to work the river system, and conditions lined up just right for what we had planned. We put together a solid game plan focusing on the techniques that work best in these Wisconsin rivers with Sirny's Guide Service and our Unwind During an Afternoon Half-Day Fishing Trip in Wisconsin.

I got out this morning early and went from shore. I took my time getting to the spot and managed to start fishing around 6:10 a.m. and fished untill about 7:45 a.m

Its a little bit of a hike but i brought some live bait just incase. I didn't end up needing it tho because artificial was the way to go. these fish were fired up and ready to go.

The ticket was a 1/8 Oz jig head , (didn't matter what color) and a chartreuse 3 inch grub tail. This lure was casted to the edge of the current and bounced along bottom back towards shore. this technique can be very effective however you tend to get snagged a lot, that's why we use Fins braid 8 l.b. on our walleye set ups. it works great and saves us a lot of baits when fishing the river as well as let's us fish longer because we're not constantly re tieing lines.

We caught Catfish, Northern Pike, Walleye and White Bass using the technique above and caught around 30 fish total this morning with 5 of them being legal walleyes between 2 guys. over all fun and productive morning on the water.

Got out this week for a bit and the bite has been phenomenal. lots of fish being caught and we were able to get some for supper as well.

the walleye are being found in spawning locations and are being caught using many different techniques, from jigging to casting its a Great time. i had 43 walleyes and 1 musky in a few hours of fishing. the bite is solid right now and its only getting better.

Big Eau Pleine Reservoir Lake Report on 26th Dec, 2024

The Big Eau Plaine Reservoir produces some quality fish each year for us. the Walleye and Crappie bite has been on fire with many big perch being caught as well. we are mainly fishing tip ups for walleye with a shiner or sucker minnow. the crappies are coming on tip downs with crappie minnows suspended 3 feet off of bottom.

Jigging this time of year is equally productive. we like to use smaller profile baits tipped with a plastic, minnow head or grub. finding the correct cadence that triggers these fish can be difficult at times. although there are pleanty of healthy fish in this system it can be tough at times. if you find your self struggling give us a call.

Lake Dubay 4890 Lake Report on 15th Jun, 2024

We started the day with a quick rundown on planer boards seeing Coleman had never used them before. After getting the first few lines in the water and boards set up, we had fish on before even getting the rest of the lines in. we made quick work and caught a mixed bag of fish.

The fish have been staged up in the summer patterns and have been easy to find. The bite changes from day to day so staying versitile and being able to adapt to the change in bite is key to a successful day on the water.

-walleye have been found transitioning from 5-15 fow and have been caught trolling and jigging.

-crappies are being picked up trolling and jigging as well.

We've had the boat out for the past few weeks in Central Wisconsin and have been catching plenty of good walleyes and panfish mixed in on open water. Nekoosa Flowage 5564 Lake Report on 22nd May, 2023

Fishing Musky can be a difficult task by ones self, especially in the spring. I got out this morning and had 5 boatside, one mega giant pulled the hooks straight out of the bait and had another shake the hooks half way to the boat.

Sky's were overcast and water had a slight ripple so conditions were perfect. I went 1 for 5 this morning and still managed to get some slim time in before heading back to the landing. with the weather being warmer than the previous 2 days fish were really fired up. They wanted rubber, glides, and crank baits worked to a cadence

fishing has been phenomenal the past few weeks, we have been targeting suspended crappies and picking up some jumbo perch and nice walleyes as we do so. we have been using kastmaster baits tipped with a minnow head or wax worms as well as using tip downs and tip ups for walleye.

Wisconsin River - Crawford, WI Lake Report on Invalid Date

Living in Central Wisconsin has its perks, with the Wisconsin River running right through the middle of the state I have the privilege of fishing some great water. Within a few minute car ride, I have access to fish the Big Eau Pleine, Lake Du Bay, Lake Wausau, a variety of lakes to the north/south, along with many different backwater sloughs of the Wisconsin River. With so many different options to choose from it gives me the ability to stay on the bite constantly. When you book a trip with me you have the choice to target big bluegills, slab crappies, northern pike, perch, and walleyes. I fish a run-and-gun approach to put fish on the ice. This means we are constantly moving from hole to hole to allow you access to the most active fish each particular body of water has to offer. I am also equipped to set up camp for the day, make sure you are comfortable, and can stay warm while still catching fish.

Mosinee Flowage Lake Report on Invalid Date

I took some clients out in pursuit of walleyes and crappies. Crappies were hard to come by and walleye bite was finicky. We tried large minnows and suckers. We caught a ton of small mouth bass and a bunch of walleyes this way. we went out the following day and used a more aggressive approach with the weather being a little better. we were throwing rip-n-raps and caught a bunch of slot fish, over slot fish and legals. they had a good time as did I.

Willow Reservoir 327 Lake Report on Invalid Date

Fishing has been phenomenal, we were able to put the pieces together such as lure, lure speed, lure color and location all together to catch a ton of big walleyes, crappies, perch, bluegills, northern pike and smallmouth bass.
